Founded Jo Miller in 2016, Miller Coffee Roasters is a woman owned business located in Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
In 2022, after several years of operating out of her home, Jo knew the time was right and opened her shop in the heart of downtown Jeannette. Friendly and easygoing, Miller delivers an elevated yet comfortable coffee experience to the community, while also providing private label services for cafes, restaurants, and businesses throughout the region.
Spending nearly a decade refining her skill as a roaster, Jo has combined her passion and creativity with carefully sourced quality beans and ingredients to develop a deep catalogue of flavor profiles and blends. From the familiar staple blends to more imaginative creations, Jo is proud to offer premium small batch roasted coffee to her customers. But don’t let the topic of coffee bean varietals and other coffee related subject matter intimidate you. Jo is down-to-earth when offering suggestions to her customers, and seriously full of shenanigans. She encourages her customers to browse loose bean selections and to take a hands-on approach to her shop. Keeping it fun and inviting, while roasting really great coffee, Jo is living her dream!
About Jo
Jo Miller is the owner/operator of Miller Coffee Roasters located at 107 South 2nd Street Jeannette, PA. She began her dream in 2016. Her love of coffee and research into the industry led her to start her own fresh roasted coffee business. Her first roaster was an Artisan 3e which was small enough to fit in her house. There, she experimented with different flavors learning how to roast coffee. She taught herself through YouTube videos and trial and error.
Her upbeat & optimistic attitude is infectious to all who have the pleasure of meeting her. Jo is a pillar of the Jeannette business community. She is deeply involved in the revival of Jeannette along with other business owners and is a member of the Jeannette Business Association. Local support matters!
She also sells wholesale coffee to start-up coffee shops, mobile coffee businesses, restaurants, and boutiques.
The Story of Jeannette, Pennsylvania
In an old industrial town that is undergoing its own revitalization, Miller Coffee Roasters is collaborating with other local businesses to help redefine what is possible. In 2023 and again in 2024. Jo teamed up with Sobel’s Obscure Brewery to release two unique coffee-based beers, Meet the Millers and Black Lotus. Initially meant to be a limited release, both were so popular that they’ve been brought back into the brewery’s regular lineup.
A respected business owner, Jo kindly offers support to fellow entrepreneurs looking to establish or grow their own businesses in town. A true creative, when not busy crafting new coffee blends or entertaining and educating customers, Jo enjoys renovating properties that she owns with her husband, Jeff. They both have an enthusiastic attitude for the City of Jeannette in helping to strengthen the city’s vibrant comeback.
